Gina's Mexican Cafe is Vancouver Island's premier Mexican food oasis, for festive, family and casual dining.
Established in Nanaimo, B.C. in 1986, this funky, colourful, texmex cafe has been a family run success and has been know as the "Pink house on the hill" since renovation in 1986.
Fresh Tasty Mexican Food
Featuring fresh and tasty foods and catering to many differing palates, we feature traditional chicken and beef favourites (don’t miss the 'chipotle specialities'). We take great pride in offering the finest in West Coast seafoods. We have also offered a variety of vegetarian and vegan dishes throughout the years, and will do our best to accommodate special diets and allergy requirements. Our longtime efforts to adhere to the "100 mile diet" philosophy has rewarded us with supplying much of our dairy and protein foods, fresh from the region. Make sure to sample the 'fish tacos' or 'southwest seafood burritos'.
Conveniently Located in Downtown Nanaimo
Gina’s Mexican Cafe is ideally placed enroute to the delightful Pacific Rim National Park, (near Tofino) and all the natural outdoor attractions of East and West Coast Vancouver Island. When arriving on the B.C. Ferries to Duke Point, Nanaimo, or driving north from Victoria, turn left on exit 18 follow this connector 3km. Cross the Bastion street bridge (the only bridge you will encounter), make an immediate left turn on Skinner Street and drive two blocks on the one way street, ole, you are here! When arriving at the Departure Bay ferry terminal, go straight 1km., turn left onto the bridge and left again, look up on the cliff, the sun will be glinting on “The Pink House on the Hill”, you have come home to Gina’s Cafe.
